Justin Sendikadiwa, the Rubaga division chairman, has said the division has once again secured sh700m from the World Bank (WB) for constriction of the division offices, reports Catherine Kigozi. Sendikadiwa told the New Vision recently that the division had identified a one-acre piece of land at Rubaga road where the offices would be constructed. The WB had withdrawn the grant on allegations that the division had defied WB orders concerning the site for the construction of the division offices. The WB team had appr-oved and agreed on Wak-aliga as the site for the construction but it was latter changed which irked the donors forcing them to withdraw the grant. Sendikadiwa said the division had to look for a new site because the WB wanted the offices constructed in a place that could be easily accessed. He said supervision of the work will be done by the Nakivubo channel rehabilitation contractors. The division is currently renting offices at Namirembe road at sh2m per month. Sendikadiwa the project is funded by the World Bank and that the money is channeled through the Local government development program. Ends
