By Edris Kisambira WAKISO district administration on Tuesday passed a mini-budget of sh890.5m for the rest of this financial year. The mini-budget, which was endorsed by the LC5 chairman, Ian Kyeyune, is an extract of what was approved by Mpigi district from which Wakiso district was curved out. Edward Tumusiime Gumizamu, the secretary for finance and planning to the district council, while reading the budget said it took into account changes that have taken place during the recently concluded presidential polls. He said the district would not be able to realise the estimated sh1.3b from revenue collections in the 16 sub-counties of Busiro and Kyadondo counties. Tumusiime cited graduated tax, which was reduced to sh3,000 for beginners, as one of the short comings in their revenue estimates. He, however, said the budget will take care of the unique needs arising out of the creation of the new district. Tumusiime said they had a main budget for the 2000-2001 financial year. Ends
