By Frederick Kiwanuka THE Nakasongola district chairman, Chris Bagonza, has demanded that the government increases facilitation of service delivery in the district because of the overwhelming support that President Yoweri Museveni got from the area in the just concluded presidential elections. Bagonza said on Wednesday that the broadness should be applied in a principled way, whereby districts are rewarded according to how they voted. Nakasongola district gave Museveni 95.5% votes during the elections. "Much as there is need to be broad-based, ally and enemy districts should not gain equally," he told The New Vision. "It is Museveni himself who said this," he added. Bagonza, who was Museveni's Nakasongola district task force chairman, said the newly created district had poor water supply and infrastructure. He said the presidential campaigns were more difficult than those of the referendum due to political detractors from former candidate Col. Kizza Besigye's camp, whom he said were bent on confusing the people. Ends
