WFP Boss Arrives Today

KAMPALA - The deputy executive director World Food Programme, Mr. Namanga Ngongi, arrives today on a three-day visit to review the agency's assistance to Uganda. Ngongi is to meet senior officials from the Ministry of Health, Mulago Hospital, the Uganda AIDS Commission and various NGOs. In a statement issued yesterday, the WFP deputy country director, Mr. Ken Noah Davies, said Ngongi would also visit three orphan and street children projects that have been receiving food assistance from WFP.
