NEW Vision photojournalist Cranimer Mugerwa was yesterday buried at his ancestral home in Biira Bulenga on Mityana road, reports Juliet Nankinga.

NEW Vision photojournalist Cranimer Mugerwa was yesterday buried at his ancestral home in Biira Bulenga on Mityana road, reports Juliet Nankinga. Mugerwa, 36, died on Monday morning at Nsambya Hospital where he was admitted on Saturday. He is survived by a 12-year-old daughter, Lydia. Mr. William Pike, The New Vision managing director and editor-in-chief, told mourners at St. John's Church, Kamwokya, that Mugerwa was a fantastic photographer with special qualities that enabled him compose rare pictures that had humour. He said Mugerwa's keen sense of humour helped him capture rare street scenes. Pike said, "Mugerwa will be remembered for his bravery. He loved people and that is why people also loved him." Kabaka Ronald Mutebi, Vice-President Dr. Kazibwe, ministers and MPs sent condolence messages and described Mugerwa as a friend and a big loss to The New Vision and Uganda. Kayunga RDC Margaret Kivumbi, Youth MP Tiperu, Brig. Katumba Wamala, Nasser Sebaggala, Wasswa Ziritwawula and MPs Mutebi Kityo, Timothy Mutesasira, Seith Wambede Mr. Onapito attended the ceremony.
