By Reuben Olita in Nairobi KENYA will send a strong team of about ten players for The New Vision International chess championships that will run April 13-16 in Kampala, Kenya Chess Association (KCA) chairman Lincon Njenga has said. He said Kenya failed to excel in last year's event for sending a team that was not the best. Joseph Kanyingi and Owino Magana represented Kenya. "This time around we have got players who will undoubtedly give a good account of themselves," Njenga said. Although he promised to release the names of the final squad later, Njenga said he expects Nathan Ateka, Kenneth Omollo, John Mukabi and Ben Magana to spearhead Kenya's challenge in the sh2m prize tournament. "We have lost top players who have relocated to the UK and US, but that cannot deter us," Njenga said. Ends
