By Peter Ekarot MILITARY Police have pulled out of the Africa Cup Winners Cup first round due to financial constraints. CAF will fine Uganda $2,000 (sh3.5m). Military who made a debut on the continent, lost 3-0 away to Zambian giants Nkana and now forfeit the April 13 second leg that could have cost them sh30m to host. FUFA secretary Godfrey Kisekka has written to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to stop Nkana Red Devils from coming. "Military is out of the Africa Cup Winners Cup after they failed to provide financial guarantees," said Kisekka. "In future we shall not even enter ill-funded teams in CAF competitions. Military almost failed to travel to Zambia until we bailed them out with sh3m," said Kisekka. In 1993, SC Villa made a late withdrawal against Asec Abidjan, earning a fine of $90,000(sh130m) which was paid for by Super division clubs. Ends
