Italy To Boost Ugandan Artists

By Lillian Nalumansi The Italian ambassador, Mr. Luigi Napolitano, has said his embassy will offer financial assistance to the Uganda Artists Association to enable it produce a catalogue. The catalogue will enable the artists attract buyers from abroad. He was at Nommo Gallery recently at the opening of the Fifth Women's art exhibition. "People need to know who Uganda's artists are before they can buy their works. This catalogue will have a short biography of each artist with a portrait of each one of them and with details like the name, address and the kind of work each artist specialises in," Napolitano said.
