MUMIAS Sugar remained perched at the top of Kenya's premier league with 30 points from 14 matches despite their mediocre weekend performance, losing one match and drawing the other.

On Saturday, the formidable club from Western Kenya was beaten 2-1 by Oserian Fastac, who are scheduled to tour Uganda for a series of friendless. Oserian, who are due to host Tunisia's Etoile du Sahel in the CAF Cup second round return leg match on Saturday, are second with 28 points from 10 matches. Although boasting of Mark Sirengo who is currently leading the top scorer's chat with 15 goals, Mumias could manage a 1-1 draw against lowly Nakuru Police on Sunday.
