GUNFIRE on Monday again rocked Bugoma Forest in Kyangwali sub-county, Hoima district, as UPDF soldiers pursued a group of ADF rebels, writes Vision Reporter. Two rebels including a wife of Onyango, the rebel leader in the area, were killed during the exchange of fire. One gun was recovered from the rebels. The UPDF also rescued a 13-year-old girl abducted by the rebels last year. This brings the number of rebels killed in less than a week to four. The commanding officer of the 51st battalion, Lt. Col. Ssemwezi, said the fighting took place at Nsozi. Ssemwezi said, "We have launched an intensive attack on the rebels and soon we shall crash all of them. We killed Onyango's wife and soon shall get Onyango himself." He said the rescued girl was Jolly Tugume. Ends
