By Daniel Saire Police v Simba Masaka v Rock Star CHICAGO FC boss, Yusuf Kyeyune "Chuni" has threatened to pull his team out of the league if the National Football League Committee fails to punish Mbale Heroes for the continued violence at the club's home ground. Chuni, yesterday petitioned the NFLC over hooliganism that marred his team's match against Heroes in Mbale on Sunday. Heroes beat Chicago 1-0. "We invest a lot in our teams and the NFLC should ensure that sanity prevails otherwise we shall have no option but leave the league," said Chuni who last year pulled out State House from the league on claims the team had lost their playing kits. Fans from the Elgon stand threw stones onto the pitch that targeted second referee Ronnie Kalema and also injured Chicago defender Ronald Bazzi. He said Heroes, as hosts, failed to provide enough security to them. Chuni said the player was rushed to Mbale hospital and later transferred to Mulago from where he was discharged yesterday. He also contested referee Matia Sebugwawo's decision to restart the match. "He should not have restarted the match, which had stopped for 15 minutes bearing in mind that our player had been hit with stones," he said. At the same time, Police coach Jimmy Muguwa has said poor officiation was killing football in Uganda. He said, biased officiation accounted for Uganda clubs poor performance at the continental level. "These giant teams win matches at the expense of us small ones with the help of referees that is why they will continue losing at preliminary levels," he said. He cited Police's recent match against KCC, which he said they were denied two clear penalties. Police, will today host army side Simba at Nakivubo. Muguwa said he expected a tough game since both teams were fighting to better their positions. Police leads Simba by one point on the league table. Masaka LC, hosts fellow debutantes Rock Star tomorrow at the Recreation ground. Simba have signed ex-international striker Muhammad Katerega from Express and hope to field him today at Nakivubo. Masaka has 15 points from 10 matches. Rock Star, got a morale boost on Sunday with a 2-1 home win against Black Rhino. This was the first win for new Kenyan coach Bernard Etyang. Ends
