10 coaches to handle Cranes

IN a new invention, FUFA yesterday appointed a five-man coaching panel and a six-man selection team to handle the national soccer team Cranes.

By Leo Kabunga and Peter Ekarot IN a new invention, FUFA yesterday appointed a five-man coaching panel and a six-man selection team to handle the national soccer team Cranes. This follows the sacking of Nigerian coach Harrison Okagbue after Togo hammered Uganda 3-0 in their last African Nations Cup game on Saturday. Federation of Uganda Football Associations announced at the weekly Nile Special Super league conference at Lugogo that Jimmy Muguwa, Paul Hasule, Charles Namakola, Muhamed Segonga and Leo Adraa will jointly coach Cranes. Asumani Lubowa, Tom Lwanga, Robert Aloro, Crispus Muyinda, Sam Kabugo with Chris Kalibala as the secretary will pick players to the national team. Meanwhile, National Council of Sports has recalled Okagbue to Lugogo and say government will place FUFA under close scrutiny. "It's not a question of new coaches, but the messed-up FUFA leadership that must change ," an official said. Ends
