By John Eremu and Felix Osike THE leader of the Kisangani-based Congolese Rally for Democracy (RCD-K), Prof. Wamba dia Wamba, has called for a review of the Congolese Liberation Front (CLF) constitution saying it has failed to work. The front formed early this year, was to act as an umbrella organisation for all rebels fighting the Kinshasag government. It was founded by RCD-K and the Congolese Liberation Movement of Jean Pierre Bemba. Wamba told journalists yesterday that he was not against the merger but was concerned about its failure to unite the various rebel factions. "Instead of unification, there is constant harassment of those whose views are not in line with one part of the front," Wamba said. He was apparently referring to the front president, Bemba, whose forces recently arrested 21 of his supporters including ministers. Mr. James Matabish, the deputy commissar in Wamba's faction, told The New Vision how he was arrested and tortured by Bemba's troops in Beni. Wamba's press conference at Silver Springs Hotel in Kampala was after a three-day conference with his executives. Ends
