By vision reporter FORMER league committee secretary Hajji Abass Kaawaase Mukasa has confirmed he will challenge Denis Obua for the FUFA presidency in December. "I am just thrilled with the massive calls and support from the public after The New Vision story came out. If the soccer fraternity thinks I have the mantle, why go against their wish," a beaming Kaawaase said. Kaawaase, a headmaster, is the brains behind Kibuli SS success in national schools competitions. Former treasurer Michael Okiror and ex-president Twaha Kakaire also confirmed that they are in the race. "They (Obua's executive) have mishandled sponsors, funds and given government bad public relations," said Kakaire. Federation secretary Godfrey Kisekka and treasurer Hassan Galiwango both said they are contented with their positions and would not challenge Obua. Ex-FUFA boss John Semanobe and Wilson Tumwine were unavailable for comment. Ends
