UGANDA has been drawn against Zambia and Cameroon for the 2002 world cup rugby qualifiers in Australia.

By Silvano Kibuuka and Reuben Olita UGANDA has been drawn against Zambia and Cameroon for the 2002 world cup rugby qualifiers in Australia. Making a debut in the bi-annual tournament, Uganda's first match is away against Zambia in Harare on August 11. The second match will have Uganda hosting Cameroon on August 25 at Lugogo. Uganda Rugby Football Union official, Chris Kasasa, said there are no return matches. Cameroon will travel to Zambia after Kampala. The winner in the group will play Kenya for the second round qualification. In the meantime, URFU technical committee had selected a 12-man team to feature in this year's Tusker Safari Sevens in Nairobi. The team leaves tomorrow for Nairobi to defend the Capital Sevens trophy won last year. Meanwhile, Botswana and Swaziland have withdrawn from the tournament scheduled to play between June 23-24. Organising committee boss Robin Cahill disclosed in Nairobi but did not give the reasons for the withdrawals. Ends
