GERMAN soccer expert Thomas Roy will today hand at least 33 Ugandans certificates at the end of the first ever course for goalkeepers at Lugogo.

By Peter Ekarot GERMAN soccer expert Thomas Roy will today hand at least 33 Ugandans certificates at the end of the first ever course for goalkeepers at Lugogo. The two-week course run in two phases, was sponsored by the Germany Technical and development Co-operation, Meridian Project, NCS and FUFA. Roy said he was impressed with the level of enthusiasm of the goalkeepers and their trainers who attended the course. "I hope the goalies and their trainers will improve the level of goalkeeping in Uganda. This is a key area in all soccer games worldwide," said Roy. Roy, a member of the German Football Federation (DFB) and Bavaria regional association was invited to handle the course by compatriot Guenter Zittel who is the national soccer technical director.
