By Peter Ekarot THE final phase of the national U-14 champions' league sponsored by City Tyres and Family Planning Association of Uganda is set for this weekend. The junior league action that covered the entire country comes to a climax with Saturday's semi-finals between defending champions Hat-Trick and Juventus from Makindye, and between Mayors Boys from Entebbe against Jinja's Red Star. The final is set for Sunday and all the games are at Nakivubo stadium. Hat Trick topped the quarterfinal standings with six points and Mayors Boys came second with six but with an inferior goal difference. Juventus came third with three points, Red Star fourth while Masaka's Binyonyi and Katete from Mbarara missed out of the top four places. The league run by Friends of Football, an association composed of former internationals aims at developing soccer standards for juniors boys just like Kampala Kids League does with boys and girls between 6 and 14. r Sportsman Kakungulu Cup that was due for launching today has been shelved to an undisclosed date. Uganda's second most prestigious soccer competition sponsored by British American Tobacco is expected to kick off on July 1 countrywide and has an entry of 70 clubs. Ends
