By Joyce Namutebi THE Minister of State for Disaster Preparedness, Jane Frances Kuka, has demanded that the Kapchorwa woman parliamentary election results be nullified due to alleged malpractices. Addressing a press conference in Kampala yesterday, Kuka, a contestant for the seat, threatened to go to court if the Electoral Commission did not nullify the results. Results released yesterday showed that Kuka lost to Gertrude Kulany. She polled 2,276 votes against Kulany's 5,323. Kuka's task force and her lawyers, Mulenga and Karemera Advocates, have written to the commission, saying the declaration of the results be withheld and fresh elections organised. She said people, who were not part of the electoral college, voted. "Names of some voters were missing from the register," she said, adding that "some villages have not voted up to now." She said some chiefs acted as presiding officers contrary to the law. Ends
