By Davis Weddi The Police are hunting for a colleague called Joseph Bukenya, who allegedly participated in an armed robbery at Nalukolongo, Kampala last week. The Police have warned the public that Bukenya is in company of three other suspected thugs, who are believed to be heavily armed. Bukenya in particular is said to be in possession of an illegal pistol. The Kampala Police chief, Mr Ahmed Wafuba, said the four were reported to have robbed a car from a woman on Tuesday evening. A caller on the Police emergency line 999, informed them that the four were tampering with the vehicle's number plate near the scene of robbery. The suspects fled on seeing a Police patrol car and investigations led the Police to Bukenya's home from where a sub-machine gun was recovered. Wafuba said, "wherever Bukenya could be, he should surrender to any police station as soon as as possible. "Should we catch up with him and he offers any resistance, we shall deal with him appropriately, Wafuba said." Wafuba said Bukenya, a war veteran, was recently recruited to the Police Constable ranks. Ends
