By Frederick Kiwanuka HERDSMEN in Ngoma sub-county have given former Nakaseke parliamentary candidate, Major Jero Bwende, 140 cows in consolation for losing the race. Bwende, who over the weekend returned to Kampala after a week of rest in Ngoma, said on Sunday, "They have been consoling me because I was unfairly detained and because I was cheated. By the time I left, they had given me 140 cows." The semi-arid remote sub-county located in northwest Luweero district was Bwende's stronghold during the Nakaseke race which Energy Minister Syda Bbumba won. Bwende was third out of four candidates. He said he would have won if he had not been detained. "I did not know the Government would detain a historical (NRM) for the mere sake of creating way for a minister (Bbumba) to win," he said. Ends
