Two charged over pensions

TWO senior officers of the public service ministry on Friday appeared in Buganda Road Court charged with forging pension documents and falsely paying sh19m to a businessman.

By Paul Ocen TWO senior officers of the public service ministry on Friday appeared in Buganda Road Court charged with forging pension documents and falsely paying sh19m to a businessman. Alex Okello, officer in charge of the pension registry and the senior records officer, Martin Moro, were jointly charged with Levick Kisomore whom they allegedly falsely paid the money. Both suspects denied the charges before Magistrate Joshua Maruk. State Prosecutor Miriam Akite said Okello and Moro forged pension documents for Kisomore claiming he was Richard Bisherurwa a former Police officer. Ends
