PREQUALIFIED LIST OF SUPPLIERS AND CONTRACTORS Applications are invited from qualified firms who are interested in being included on the list of approved suppliers and Contractors for the Financial Year 2001/2002 for the following items: 1. Insurance Services 2. Computer supply, repairs, servicing and programme installation and accessories 3. Construction of Pit Latrines 4. Supply of medical drugs and sundries 5. Supply of fuel and lubricants 6. Servicing of motor vehicles, road plants, speed boats and outboard engines 7. Feeder road routine maintenance (Petty Contractors) 8. Feeder road periodic maintenance 9. Building construction at District and Sub-county/Town Council level 10. Spring Protection and Hand Dug Wells 11. Construction of Gravity Flow Schemes 12. Surveying of land 13. Drawing of Building Plans and other architectural designs 14. Training of staff, councillors and the private sector 15. Supply of Tsetse fly traps 16. Supply of Stationery (General and printed stationery) 17. Supply of office Equipment and Furniture 18. Supply of tyres, tubes and batteries 19. Supply of reinforced concrete culverts 20. Supply of scholastic materials 21. Garages for repair of motor vehicles, motor cycles, road plants and Boat Engines 22. Supply of improved planting materials 23. Supply of Veterinary and Entomological equipment 24. Supply of Outboard Engines 25. Supply of spare parts for motor vehicles, motor cycles, road plants and boat engines 26. Supply of foodstuffs for prison department 27 Supply of Uniform and protective wear for Medical, Prison and Police personnel 28. Fumigation of buildings 29. Supply of rain water tanks 30. Hotel accommodation and conference facilities 31. Hire of transport (Vehicles, Boats and Engines) REQUIREMENTS: Interested firms/persons should provide Pre-qualification information as follows: 1. Certified documents on the constitution and legal status of the firm (Certificate of Incorporation/Registration and Articles of Association, where applicable. 2. Address and physical location of business. (This is a must) 3. Valid Trading Licence for the Year 2001 4. Income Tax Clearance & Value Added Tax (VAT) Registration Certificate 5. Company/Business Profile giving relevant information on experience, technical and financial capacity, bankers, references, and samples and price lists where applicable 6 Application fee of 30,000= for Incorporated firms and 10,000= for sole proprietors. Applicants already on the approved list of the District are also required to renew the above information by making fresh submissions. Please contact the Secretary for detailed information. B. SUPPLY OF GOODS Kalangala District Tender Board invites bids from suppliers who certify the above prequalification requirements to undertake the following supplies: 1.1. General Office Stationery 1.2. General printing 1.3. Printing of Graduated Tax Tickets/Market Dues and Receipts 1.4. Supply of Office Equipment and Furniture 1.5. Supply of Medical Drugs and Sundries 1.6. Supply of Tyres, tubes and batteries 1.7. Supply of Scholastic materials 1.8. Supply of Treated Pyramidal Tsetse Traps REQUIREMENTS 1. Provide prequalification information as required in A above 2. Payment of a non-refundable application fee of 30,000= (applicants who pay fees under A above need not pay against the same items) 3. All prices should be in Uganda Shillings and should be VAT inclusive The Tender Board is not bound by the lowest or any bid.
