MUNYONYO--When the Miss Uganda contestants checked into Sudhir Ruparellia's idyllic resort of Munyonyo on Saturday, if they thought their month-long stay (all expenses paid) would be something to write home about, they'd better think again. Organiser Sylvia Owori is taking no prisoners and the girls are set for a month of strenuous grooming in a bid to get them in tip top condition for the contest, slated for August 4. They are to rise at 6:30am each day, and its not their nails that they will be doing. Rather, its a two hour run, followed by breakfast, exercises, classes, lessons on presentation and so forth. On hand to help Sylvia crack the whip is former model Eva Mbabazi. And if any of you men have notions of going down there for a peak, think again. The girls are chaperoned by two burly armed guards.
