Spencer Patrick Turomwe, the runner up in the just concluded parliamentary elections in Igara East, Bushenyi district, has filed a fresh case before the High Court against MP Dr Richard Nduhuura, writes Raynel Kanyambu. Turomwe, who lost again to Nduhura after the vote recount, said yesterday that he had filed another petition on the grounds that Nduhuura voted twice. Nduhuura is among ministers appointed yesterday by President Yoweri Museveni. The list of 64 released yesterday are subject for approval by the Parliamentary Appointments Committee. "After Police investigations have revealed Nduhuura voted twice, I filed the case to recall him from the Parliament. He should have been arrested by now," Turomwe said. He had filed another case to have the votes recounted before the Bushenyi Chief Magistrate, Deo Nzeimana. He lost in the recount although he gained over 50 votes. He said his lawyers, Ngaruye Ruhindi and Co. Advocates, had already filed the case in the High Court calling for the disqualification of Nduhuura for voting twice. He said they were awaiting the court to fix the date of hearing. Turomwe, the former national campaigner of Col. Kizza Besigye, polled 12,692 against 13,370 of Nduhuura in the June 26 elections.
