‘No directive on tax tickets’

WAKISO district has never directed its sub-counties to use money remitted to the lower councils to print graduated tax tickets, reports Catherine Ntabadde. The LC5 chairman, Eng. Ian Kyeyune, in a press release said, “At no time has the district ever given such a directive.” He said according to the Local Government Act, the centre for collection of local revenue in rural areas is the sub-county. Kyeyune said all sub-counties had received their remittances.
