Bottom-placed JACC battle the Destroyers

TABLE leaders, Destroyers will be hoping to boost their chances for the Bank of Baroda league trophy as they take on bottom placed JACC at Jinja oval tomorrow.

Destroyers, that boasts five national players started the bid for the trophy with a magnificent win last Sunday against Tornado CC in their first game of the second round. The 2001 entrants finished top in the first round with 173 points having won six games and only failing to go past Lohana CC that has threatened to pull out of the league. With 195 points in eight games currently, captain Nehal Bibodi targets a massive win against JACC in order to claim the maximum points to keep the clubs’ hopes high for the 2001 Baroda trophy. After an unbeaten 120 in the first round against the same side Bibodi will target to put the highest score of the league like he did last year with 198 not out against JACC. Sensational Kenneth Kamyuka will try to rediscover his form after failing to shine last Sunday against Tornado. Skipper Jacob Muddu and dependables Joseph Ongaria, Edward Musenze among others will be expected to contribute to the success of JACC. In other games, defending champions Premier CC will take on youthful Nile at Kyambogo oval while Tornado will test the wrath of Lohana CC if they turn up for the game.
