Jinja based Sky Jammers who handed Power its only defeat in the league in the first round kept the champions under pressure for the better part of the game before they succumbed in the last quarter. MVP Wilbrod Oketcho (26) and Julius Wapera (18) turned in a combined 44 points that helped silence the capacity crowd cheering the Jammers. With Jammers’ point guard Justus Mugisha dwarfed by Power’s towering forwards, Godwin Khisa was drawn into picking up defensive rebounds to reduce the damage. In spite of Khisa’s defensive role, he hit a game high 30 points for Jammers who missed the services of Norman Blick. Charging Rhino and Livingstone triumphed over Sharing and Flamers respectively at the same venue. Lady Bucks made easy work of Amazon Rhino while Miracle walked over Jude Etyang’s long suffering Kololo Bush court. On Saturday in other FUBA classic league games at Makerere University Pool court Warriors and Nabisunsa defeated Miracle and Lady Flamers respectively. Sundus Kakooza and Lindah Tamale propelled Nabisunsa with 30 and 21 points as the students registered their third win. The Falcons and Blue Jackets tie was re-scheduled for lack of time. Ends
