By Ronnie Kintu Destroyers 358/6, JACC 90/10 Nile 177/10, Pre 134/10 CAPTAIN Nehal Bibodi played a great innings scoring his second century in the Bank of Baroda league as Destroyers CC beat JACC by 268 runs at Jinja oval on Sunday. After a superb first wicket stand of 168 runs with Lawrence Ssematimba (98), Bibodi (134) conceived his century after 135 deliveries before Bhavik Patel (4/34) made him caught in the slips. Ssematimba, however, scored 50 runs in the first 40 minutes of the game but missed a century by two runs when spin bowler Hamza Saleh claimed his wicket. Keyur Padia (41) and Patel Ketan (34) also contributed strongly as Kenneth Kamyuka (08) again failed to ascertain his form when he gave a return catch to medium bowler Bhavik in an attempt to force a single. JACC managed only 90 runs in 30 overs with a disputed performance from Saleh (14). The late order batsman fell to speed merchant Kamyuka (4/41) after hitting him two consecutive boundaries before he was caught. Nicholas Kebba (44) stole the show at Kyambogo oval as Nile humiliated defending champions Premier CC by a 43 runs to ascend to the sixth spot on the table. The Nilers managed 177 in 49 overs that looked too much for the once mighty Premier responding with 134 runs with no more wickets at hand. The other match again flopped as Lohana players defied the call by the games committee to turn up against Tornado CC. Ends
