MP Opoti Is Dead

NEBBI Women’s MP Esther Dhugira Opoti, 38, (pictured) is dead. A.G. Musamali reports that she died at Mulago Hospital on Saturday morning, one month ahead of her wedding to Ben Alipanga which had been scheduled for the end of September. Opoti is survived by two daughters, Sharon, 16, and Mercy, 11. NRM gender, youth and interest groups deputy director, Beatrice Lagada, said burial is likely to be in Nyapea Village, Nebbi district, on Wednesday. Masindi RDC Betty Adima said Opoti was admitted to hospital on August 1 with an acute ulcer condition. Ends
