By Emmanuel Mulondo A familiarisation meeting called by the Kyenjojo district chairman, William Kaija, for district MPs, executives and technocrats on Friday turned chaotic. Maj. Tom Butime, the foreign affairs state minister for international relations and the assistant RDC, Gorgon Oyakol, accused each other of telling lies. They also accused each other of malignment for ulterior motives. Oyakol accused Butime of having assaulting him in the parliamentary elections and said the case was still with the police. Butime, who is also the Mwenge north MP denied assaulting Oyakol as it was reported in the press. “Are you the one who has been decampaigning me? that was all I asked him.” Butime said. Kaija said the meeting was to reconcile the MPs and the district authorities and to heal post election wounds. “this is not how we are going to reconcile, let the matter proceed to court,” Oyakol said.
