By Daniel Saire SC Villa v Express SC Villa still remain the big bull in the kraal, as many teams already appear to be battle-weary. Express will make another attempt to run down the national champions when the two teams meet today at Namboole. SC Villa and Express, represent the best in Uganda football. Being part of the cream of Ugandan soccer gives more credence to today’s match between the two sides. But entertainment is not what the two can afford to look to — Villa wants to maintain its 8 point lead at the top and a whitewash of embattled Express may not be further from the truth. Their first round match was a disappointing one as players resorted to a punch-up, leading to the sending off of Villa defender James Kayimba. A lot of water has since passed through the bridge. Express has had a fare share of mishaps that climaxed on Wednesday in the resignation of coaches Asuman Lubowa and Frank Anyau ‘Video’. The ever-present Godfrey Nyola, who took over at Wankulukuku, set himself a rather daunting task. “My aim is to beat Villa, restore hope among players and fans and also bounce back into contention for the title,” he said. At Villa Park Paul Hasule was not moved though. “We are not taking their problems lightly and enough preparations have been done to secure maximum points,” he said. Focus will be on top strikers Hassan Mubiru and Maurice Sunguti who swapped clubs at the start of the season. Mubiru failed to score against Villa during the first round as he had promised and today may be the time. Villa: H.Kalyesubula, J. Kayimba, N. Kizito, D. Iga, R. Tumusiime, D. Mubiru, P.Ssozi, H.
