By Miria Sidney THE photographic voter registration exercise in Arua Municipality which was suspended following reports of violence between residents of Aringa and Ayivu resumed on Wednesday. The northern Electoral Commissioner, Charles Dickens Owiny, on Tuesday told a rally at Arua taxi park that the registration exercise was a national issue which should be attended to. “The exercise will end on September 10 unless the Electoral commission decides to extend it. You have lost many days and I am appealing to the municipality residents to register as soon as possible,” he said. “Let the issue of the Aringa and Ayivu residents not interfere with this exercise,” Owiny said. He said after registration residents were free to vote at polling stations of their choice. “With this card you can vote any where in Uganda provided you fill the transfer form and state the reason for your transfer to avoid election malpractice,” he said.
