MEMBERS of Parliament on Thursday expressed concern over President Yoweri Museveni’s use of “undiplomatic language” in matters relating to foreign policy.

By Joyce Namutebi MEMBERS of Parliament on Thursday expressed concern over President Yoweri Museveni’s use of “undiplomatic language” in matters relating to foreign policy. Proscovia Salaamu Musumba (Bugabula south), who raised the issue during discussions on presidential and foreign affairs, questioned the rationale of spending sh17b on fruitless meetings to salvage relations with Sudan when Museveni said Uganda would have peace with or without President Omar- El-Bashir. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs policy statement this year said, “There were many fruitless meetings to salvage Uganda’s relations with Sudan while there were also regional summits on Burundi conflict resolution to restore peace and diplomatic relations in the region.” Ends
