By Douglas Mazune FEDERATION of Motor sport Clubs of Uganda (FMU) say they trust the FIA to come out with the right medicine to save local rallying next month, and do not need to travel to Cologne, Germany to attend the annual general assembly. FMU president Jack Wavamunno said they would make the trip October 5-6 only if invited by the world governing body, FIA. “We presented our case when the FIA official (Yvon Leon) came to Uganda, it might not even be necessary for us to travel to Germany. We are not taking anything for granted but we respect and do trust FIA,” FMU boss Wavamunno said. AAU bosses Roger Ddungu, Sam Sali and John Mutenda will be in the FIA general assembly. AAU and FMU are battling for local and international sporting powers. Leon will present a report on the wrangles in Uganda to rally commission whose decision will be ratified by the general assembly.
