By William Muwonge George Oloya will lead Kampala’s hunt for a maiden East African Inter Cities table tennis Cup this weekend. Kampala will face Nairobi, Dar es Salaam and Mombasa teams at the three-day tournament at Makerere from tomorrow. East African Inter Cities Table Tennis Federation (EAITTF) boss Emmanuel Matsyetsye, said foreign teams are due in Kampala today. Malindi, Zanzibar, Pemba and Tanga also expressed interest in the event launched in Tanga last year. Kampala, Mombasa and Dar es Salaam teams produced the best performance at the inaugural competition. Monica Kisakye and Faridah Chemisto won the women’s title. The two players, Oloya, James Kiyimba and Ivan Sentongo are on the team. Competition is in men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and doubles, men and women team events and mixed doubles of the event sponsored by KCC and Coca-Cola. ends
