Tororo District Local Government -- Invitation to Tender

Tororo District Local Government has received funds from the Government of Uganda under the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Conditional grant and intends to utilize part of the funds for drilling Boreholes, boreholes rehabilitation, shallow well drilling, Consultancy in design of Rural Growth Center Water Supply systems, Consultancy services in siting and supervision of boreholes drilling, purchase of photocopier and generator. Tenders are hereby invited from competent firms for the drilling of 8 deep wells, drilling 5 augured wells, rehabilitation of 6 boreholes, siting and supervision of 8 deep wells, supply of 1 (one) photocopier and a generator. The tendering process of borehole drilling is open to all drilling firms registered in Uganda, individual hydrogeologists may also tender for Consultancy in siting and supervision of borehole drilling. Tender documents may be obtained on payment of non-refundable fee of fifty thousand shillings (50,000) starting from 26th September, 2001 from: The Secretary, Tororo District Local Tender Board P.O. Box 1, Tororo Tenderers, who wish to, may visit the individual borehole sites starting from 8th October 2001. A pre-tender seminar will be held on 10th October 2001 at Teachers Resource Center Tororo, starting at 10.00 a.m. Completed tenders accompanied by a Tender Security of One million shillings, 1,000,000/= for borehole drilling 500,000 for Auger wells, and Borehole Rehabilitation should be submitted not later than 11.00 a.m on Friday 19th October 2001 to: Secretary, Tororo District Tender Board P.O. Box 1 Tororo. Tenders will be opened soon thereafter at Tororo Teachers Resource Center in the presence of the Tenderers representative who may choose to attend . The employer has the right to reject any or all tenders. NB. Tenders are also invited from competent firms for supply of 200 litre HDPE (Plastic) tanks fitted with taps to be used as Handwashing facility at the Primary Schools (UNICEF Program).
