By Douglas Mazune & William Muwonge LEGENDARY Rose Naliaka (h/c +1) and seven other Kenyan golfers arrive today for the Uganda Ladies Open this weekend. The prestigious 54-hole stroke play tournament sponsored by Caltex, will tee off on Friday at the par-72 Kitante course. Uganda Ladies Golf Union (ULGU) president Monica Ntege yesterday confirmed the Kenyan entry. Kenya’s Eunice Mpenda, Rose Muthemba, Mwongeri Wambua, Evelyn Katibi, Buton Buzika, Musone Muradi and Nyakango are expected to challenge Ugandans. Champion Cas Bridge from South Africa will not defend her title. r VETERAN golfer John Waigo will lead the way at the World Tourism Day golf tournament today. Playing off handicap 6, Waigo is one of over 100 players who have entered the 18-hole competition at the Kitante course from 12.00pm. The competition is part of activities to commemorate World Tourism Day. Jenina Nasimolo, Rose Musoke, Alice Owori are having a good season and are the players to watch in the ladies event. ends
