THREE Ugandans finished last in the All Africa junior chess championship that ended in Cairo Monday. Christine Namutebi and Juliet Nakandi got 1.5 points while Charity Nanteza earned 1 out of a possible nine in the women’s event. The trio were making a debut in the 9-round swiss tournament — a qualifier for the World championship in Greece next January. Namutebi like Nakandi won one game, drew the other and lost seven. Nanteza won one game and lost eight. ends
