The Civil Aviation Authority (the “CAA”) has initiated a tender process for various construction projects at Entebbe International Airport (the “Tender”). The construction projects are:

The Civil Aviation Authority (the “CAA”) has initiated a tender process for various construction projects at Entebbe International Airport (the “Tender”). The construction projects are: • Construction of covered walkways, sheds and ramp at the Arrivals Concourse, Entebbe International Airport; • Proposed extension to existing fire station at Entebbe International Airport; • Construction of Staff Canteen at Control Tower Complex, Entebbe International Airport; and • Erection of Supplementary Roof for Control Tower Complex, Entebbe International Airport. The CAA hereby invites competent and reputable firms to participate in the Tender. Tender information Interested parties may obtain Tender Documents including the Instructions to Bidders, Bills of Quantities, Drawings, Project Specifications and Contract from the office of the Corporation Secretary, CAA, upon payment of a non-refundable bid fee of UShs 100,000. Persons who do not pay the fee will not be eligible to participate in the Tender. Tender submission Bids may be submitted for one or more of the above projects. However, the award of more than one project will be at the sole discretion of the CAA. Bids in sealed envelopes clearly marked “Tender for various construction projects at Entebbe International Airport” must be submitted by hand to: The Corporation Secretary Civil Aviation Authority 2nd Floor, Passenger Terminal Building Entebbe International Airport Entebbe, Uganda so as to arrive by no later than 2.30 p.m on 9th November 2001. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 3.00 p.m on 9th November 2001. The CAA is not bound to accept the lowest or any bid.
