Citizen lift Kampala schools trophy

A composed Citizen High School lifted the Metro, BB Soda and Milo sponsored Kampala Independence football tournament after beating Dynamic SS in a one-sided final at Nakivubo on Sunday.

Good ball possession, fast pace and better ball control was all Citizen’s inspiration as they outplayed Dynamic in an entertaining game that saw them squander a lot of chances. Davis Kasenge struck twice in the 22 and 65th minute to put his tally to seven and become the tournament’s top scorer with Patrick Kimuli adding another one in the 68th to ride Citizen to 3-0. In the losers game, Kibuli second team Juventus outplayed their seniors Flamingo who they beat 2-1. In the girls’ netball, Kibuli got a consolation when they beat Dynamic 18-17 in a tight game that saw Kibuli come from 7-9 down at half time. Kazo hill settled for third place after beating Mariam High School. ends
