Pader fights measles

PADER district has started a vaccination campaign against measles, reports Justin Moro. The vaccination will be carried out from November 10-11, the district director of health services, Dr Vincent Oyet, said last week. Oyet said the training of over 400 people to carry out the vaccination had started the previous week in the 17 sub-counties. He said the Ministry of Health had delivered enough vaccine and cold chain boxes to keep it. He said children between six and 11 months will be immunised against the killer disease. “I call upon the local leaders to mobilise and sensitise parents to bring their children for immunisation,” Oyet said.
