THREE directors of Italian Serie A club, Inter Milan, will visit the Nile Academy in Jinja from November 29.

By Daniel Saire THREE directors of Italian Serie A club, Inter Milan, will visit the Nile Academy in Jinja from November 29. FUFA assistant secretary Haruna Mawanda told a weekly Nile Special press conference at Lugogo yesterday that the Italians want to explore ways of cooperation between their club and the Nile FC academy. The academy, which is based at Kakindu, is sponsored by Nile Breweries and is run by South African Ian MacNamara. The academy trains over 70 players between seven and 14 years in the evenings. It also runs short courses for school games’ masters. Meanwhile, Nile Special Super League and Sportsman Kakungulu Cup sponsors meet FUFA November 27 to review the sponsorship. The meeting scheduled for Jinja’ Nile Resort hotel will also focus on the plan for the next season. Nile Breweries’ senior public relations manager, George Kakaire, said the sponsors would increase funding for the league. FUFA also released a list of 26 names for Cranes players who start training on November 16 for the defence of the CECAFA Senior Challenge cup. Squad: S. Kawalya, P. Omwony, L. Karama, R. Malinga, N.
