THE Mengo government has urged the central Government and the private sector to invest in tele-medical services to fill the gap that exists in the medical sector.

Mengo also hailed Dr. Kiyingi, the Executive Director of Dehezi International Limited, for helping schools and colleges acquire computers. The remarks were contained in the Katikkiro’s speech read by the Mengo minister for education J.C. Muyingo at Sheraton Kampala Hotel at the launch of Dehezi computer company. Ssemwogerere said Kiyingi’s investment was a timely one. The company gave a number of computers to various schools on credit. “The country needs an efficient and up to date service. I am pleased to note that Dehezi International has come out boldly to address this issue.” said. “Mengo establishment has a number of health projected programmes and I am optimistic that the commencement of the Tele-medical services will fill the gap in our medical set up and facilities.” he said. Ssemwogerere requested Dr. Kiyingi to send some of his staff to Mengo to train it’s staff in various Internet programmes. He said Mengo officials were keen to know more about the training plan. Muyingo said Dehezi International Ltd’s investment was in line with Mengo’s policy of popularising information technology. Ministers, MPs and ambassadors and members of the business community attended the function. Ends
