IGANGA town council is to start major rehabilitation of its roads this week, mayor Ismail Kyeyago has said, reports Godfrey Kagoda. Speaking to The New Vision at his office in Iganga town last week, Kyeyago said he had signed an agreement with Twiga Construction to do the job at sh16m. He said the council had acquired the funds from the Poverty Alleviation Programme. He said another sh40m was expected “Roads are our priority because of their bad state. We hope the contractors will do the needful,” Kyeyago said. Residents said they were planning a demo over the poor state of roads in the town, especially the Old Kaliro Road.
