By James Bakama EXPRESS have tied the release of Phillip Obwiny with the transfer of Andrew “Fimbo” Mukasa from SC Villa. Express chairman Godfrey Kirumira warned that Obwiny is a deserter, and will only be released conditionally. The transfer exercise will be finalised at 11.00am today at the NFLC offices in Nakulabye. He accused Obwiny of not reporting back to the Red Eagles camp after they let him go to Turkey for professional trials. “We sent Obwiny on a mission (trials in Turkey), but he did not report back to base. We were only shocked to hear that he had signed for Villa,” Kirumira said. Mukasa, who signed for Express last Tuesday, is still bound by a three-year contract to SC Villa. Other controversial cases in today’s meeting include that of Richard Malinga (KCC) and Sam Senoga (Simba). The two signed for Express but afterwards made U-turns. r RELEGATED Military Police face Police in the Hedex Cup semi-finals today.
