By James Bakama EXPRESS let go of Phillip Obwiny without complaint as the players’ transfers were finalised at Nakivubo yesterday. Express who had earlier threatened to declare the defender a deserter, surprised everyone by saying they had no objection to Obwiny’s departure. The Red Eagles will however have to go into negotiations with Villa for the release of Andrew Mukasa. Mukasa is tied by a three-year contract to Villa. Express have to buy him out of the contract. SC Villa treasurer Omar “Mandela” Ahmed, who had anticipated resistance from Express was excited by the acquisition. Express got more bad news as KCC said they would not release Richard Malinga because he had already signed a one year contract with them. KCC also blocked defender Tom Muwonge and striker Said Abed who signed for SC Villa. SC Villa will also negotiate with Kasese Town Council for their Congolese players Pascal Yaya and Kasongo Ekochu. ends
