THE launching of the East African Legislative Assembly and the Court of Justice last week should play a big role in revisiting and harmonising labour laws in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

By Edris Kisambira THE launching of the East African Legislative Assembly and the Court of Justice last week should play a big role in revisiting and harmonising labour laws in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Henry Obbo, the state for labour and industrial relations minister, said, “The arrival of the East African Legislative Assembly and the Court of Justice is a blessing.” He was opening a five-day sub-regional workshop on conciliation and mediation organised by Strengthening of Labour Relations in East Africa, a project funded by the US government. Obbo said participants should think of the harmonisation of the labour laws. Ends
