By Josephine Maseruka NNABAGEREKA Sylvia Nagginda has appealed to Ugandans to have a positive attitude towards people with disabilities (PWDs). The Nnabagereka pledged total support to children and people with disabilities saying “Once helped they can prove their worthiness, so let us join hands to improve their conditions.” She was yesterday addressing pupils of the Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped. She toured the premises and gave out presents to the 76 pupils in the 32-year-old school. The Nnabagereka hailed the school management and support staff for arduous work done with love and commitment. “I am very pleased and encouraged by what I have witnessed today. Do not be discouraged by anyone,” she said. She encouraged the pupils who were all in wheel chairs. “You can do anything any other person can do. You can even perform better than them so don’t be discouraged,” she said. The children entertained the Nnabagereka with songs and poems and presented her with a gift. The Director, Mrs. Joy Mwesigwa, commended the royal couple for continually supporting the school. Ends
