PAST national legislators including the framers of Uganda’s first constitution, have formed an association to mobilise the population to support Government programmes, reports Joyce Namutebi.

PAST national legislators including the framers of Uganda’s first constitution, have formed an association to mobilise the population to support Government programmes, reports Joyce Namutebi. The association with over 100 members is called the “Uganda Parliament’s Network for Good Governance (UPANGGO)”. “This group which collectively represents an immense pool of human resources ‘think tank’ with skills, creativity, determination and commitment has come together in order to enhance and contribute towards the promotion and conservation of good democratic principles for the socio-economic and political development of Uganda,” the Chairman of the Steering Committee, Anthony Kanyike, said. ends
