NOTICE OF TENDER NO. II: FOR THE YEAR 2001/2002 FINANCIAL YEAR.
Tenders are invited from competent or suitably qualified firms/companies/individuals for the supply of the following items/services to Bushenyi Local Government for the 2nd phase of the 2001/2002 financial year (from 1st January-June 2002) as follows:

(ii) Construction of small bridges (made of wooden planks in Mushunga Parish)
(iii) Upgrading of 8 kms of Community Roads in Kirembe Parish.
(b) Kitagata Sub-county
(i) Construction of Kyeibanga Health Centre II
(ii) Completion of Health Centre II’s at:
(a) Kasaana West Parish Headquarters
(b) Rukondo Parish Headquarters
(c) Katunguru Sub-county
(i) Opening Katunguru - Ishaka Road Junction - Kazinga Fishing Village Road (13km)
(ii) Construction of a staff house (Two in one) and a kitchen at Katunguru
Sub-county headquarters.
(d) Kiyanga Sub-county
Construction of small bridges:
(i) Rwanja Bridge in Kiyanga Parish
(ii) Kengyeya Bridge in Rwoburunga
(iii) Kaburere Bridge in Iraramira Parish
(e) Bihanga Sub-county
(i) Construction of a 2 classroom block at Busheregye Parish
(ii) Construction of a 2-stance latrine block at Karembe market
(f) Kichwamba Sub-county
(i) Extension of Bunyaruguru G.F.S from Nyakiyanja parish to Ahankungu in Rumuri parish (4km)
(ii) Construction of Health centre II at Rumuri parish Headquarters.
(iii) Opening up of Nyakiyanja - Ahankungu-Rumuri Road (4km)
(g) Stationery General: (For the Central Registry)
(i) Boxes Labeled “Bushenyi Local Government Records Storage Boxâ€
(ii) Packets of Out Cards, 100 sheets in each packet
(iii) Reams of Box Labels for use in Records Centre
(iv) Reams of box Labels for use of depositing department
(v) Packet of suspension files each containing 50 packets
(vi) Packets of file pass-on slips each containing 10 pamphlets of 50 pages each.
NB: Interested bidders should note the following:
Payment of a non-refundable fee to District cashier Finance sector for each of the items applied for as follows; and a receipt (original) so obtained attached to the tender application form:
Items under. 1 (a), 2 (a) (i) (iii), 2 (b) (i), 2 (c) (i) (ii), 2 (e) (i), (g & f) 30,000/=
Items under: 1 (a) category B, 2 (a) (ii), 2 (d) (i), (ii), (iii), 2 (e) (ii) - 20,000/=
Items under: 1 (b) 10,000/=
2. No handwritten applications shall be acceptable; instead standard prepared bidding forms shall be acceptable, obtainable after payment of the above-mentioned respective non-refundable fees.
3. Tender documents for all the construction works can be got in liaison with both the District Engineer and the respective Sub-county Chiefs.
4. Bidders for Sub-county projects should first liaise with the respective Sub-counties and even visit the purportive sites before they apply.
5. Bidders for Revenue collection and who happen to be previous tenderers should first clear the previous dues with the District before they are considered.
6. All bidders who are residents of Bushenyi District should attach photocopies of the recent Graduated Tax Tickets.
7. Successful bidders for Revenue collection shall work for a period of 6 months, effective 1st January 2002 to June 2002.
8. Bidders must attach relevant documents (only where applicable) to the tender application
9. Bidders for Items under (g) should liaise with the Records Officer Bushenyi Local Government and attach relevant samples to their bid applications.
10. The tenders and all the correspondences and documents relative to the tender shall be written in English and then returned in properly sealed envelopes and properly written on “TENDER FOR .........†and delivered by hand to the Secretary Tender Board or put in the Tender Box placed in front of the Finance Sector, on or before 19th December 2001 at 10.00 am at which time they will be opened in the presence of all those bidders who may wish to attend.
The Tender Board is not bound to accept either the lowest or highest bidder.
